Our fresh Tropea onions are super sweet and delicious in every recipe. Harvested now the greens are dried, they are still just as delicious, and store better in a cupboard rather than the fridge!
This Italian heirloom variety can even be sliced and eaten raw, or slightly sweetened in a pan with some peppers to make a marmalade and spread on some crusty bread... we love adding them into an omelette alongside courgettes and garlic, to bring a sweet punchy kick.
